Safari mornings, island afternoons
Tanzania is the only destination where we offer a safari + beach combination in the same trip. After 4 days in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, 2 days in Zanzibar are the perfect counterbalance.
Our safaris are in 4x4 vehicles with certified driver-guides who know the routes and when animals are most visible. We do not do game drives in group buses.
In Zanzibar, we select beachfront lodges at Nungwi or Kendwa, the best spots on the island for snorkeling and sunset.

Arrival in Arusha
Welcome at Kilimanjaro Airport. Hotel transfer. Evening safari briefing.
Tarangire Park
Full-day game drive. Elephants, giant baobabs, lions. Picnic lunch in the park.
Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater. Big Five, flamingos, rhinos. The world's most beautiful natural amphitheater.
Serengeti
Drive to the Serengeti. First afternoon game drive. Sunset over the savanna.
Serengeti — sunrise drive
Sunrise game drive (the best time). Great Migration viewing (in season). Free afternoon at the lodge.
Flight to Zanzibar
Fly from the Serengeti. Arrive in Stone Town. Old town tour, spice market, seaside dinner.
Zanzibar beach
Free day at Nungwi or Kendwa. White sand beach, snorkeling, relaxation.
Departure
Free morning. Transfer to Zanzibar airport. Return flight.
